2026 Fredericksburg Achievement in Building Awards (FABA Awards)

Office Manager of the Year: This award recognizes your "go to" person who keeps the office and the job moving forward. Whether managing schedules, coordinating workflows, or ensuring projects stay on track, this person is the backbone of the office and the field.  

Production Manager of the Year: recognizes a leader who drives project performance through organization, accountability, and attention to detail. From scheduling and trade coordination to customer satisfaction and quality assurance, this individual plays a critical role in bringing projects to completion.

Student of the Year - a student who represents the next generation of the building industry. Nominated by their teachers, recipients exemplify technical ability, professionalism, and dedication to developing the skills that will shape tomorrow’s communities.

Emerging Leader Award: celebrates a professional who is building more than projects — they are building relationships, opportunity, and community impact. Through leadership, service, and dedication, this individual reflects the future of the Fredericksburg building industry.

Attainable Housing Champion Award: Recognizes an individual who demonstrates leadership and dedication to improving housing attainability within the community through advocacy, innovation, partnerships, or professional contributions within the housing industry.

Innovative New Construction Project of the Year: Recognizes an outstanding new construction project that demonstrates innovation in design, construction methods, materials, or technology while delivering exceptional quality and impact.

Green Building Leadership Award: Recognizes an individual or company that demonstrates leadership in sustainability by incorporating environmentally responsible practices, materials, and innovation into their work within the building industry.

Remodeling Project of the Year - The Remodel Project of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding remodeling project that demonstrates excellence in craftsmanship, design, functionality, and client satisfaction. This award honors a project that successfully transformed an existing space while overcoming challenges and delivering exceptional results.

 Marketing Campaign: The Marketing Campaign of the Year Award recognizes a strategic and creative marketing initiative that successfully elevated a brand, promoted a product or service, or drove measurable business results. This award honors campaigns that demonstrate innovation, clear messaging, and effective execution across one or multiple platforms.

Workforce Development Initiative of the Year: Recognizes a company, organization, or program that has demonstrated leadership in developing, supporting, or promoting workforce opportunities within the building and housing industry.
